Amp #YourVoice: Summer 2019

We consistently hear from U.S. policymakers that too few Americans voice their support for legislative action on poverty-fighting issues. As a result, far too few elected officials make them a priority. With your help, we intend to change that.Throughout the summer, CARE supporters from around the country will take advantage of Congressional recesses to schedule meetings with members of Congress. Our goal is simple: urge members of Congress to support programs that invest in women and girls globally.

As we continue to make the case with the Administration and this new Congress to invest in foreign assistance and women's rights, we need your voice to reach members of Congress to share why investing globally matters to you! Don’t miss this key moment to amplify your voice!

The Ask

Women today are disproportionately affected by humanitarian emergencies. More than65 million people are currently displaced around the world – the largest refugee crisis in recorded history – and most of those displaced are women and girls. We are calling on advocates to ask their House representative to co-sponsor the Safe from the Start Act (H.R. 4092) in Congress.
