Resources for Volunteer and Organizing

Resources for Volunteer and Organizing

1/10/17

Volunteering at the community level sews the seeds for grassroots change. It enables citizens to connect with other people and good organizations that are making change happen right where we live. Now, more than ever, we need this kind of all-hands-on-deck civic engagement.  We need everyone to do their part to represent the American values we’re known for throughout the world.  Join our campaign, sign up to volunteer in your community and then share it with us on Twitter and Facebook.

If you haven’t already signed up to volunteer or organize in your community – here are a few great places to start:

  • Beautiful Trouble
    • This book, website and resource portal from Beautiful Solutions provides a toolbox for social change.

Help us grow our “volunteer and resource” list by tweeting and posting opportunities and organizations in your community.

Tweet at us @CAREActionNow or post on our Facebook page and let us know where you’re volunteering this week.

Download our discussion guide and host a “Sunday Supper,” (or any other day of the week will do) to talk with friends and family about your volunteer or organizing experiences and how they relate to issues women face all over the world.

Then, tell us about your conversations! We want to hear how you’ll Walk In Her Shoes and make change happen with CARE Action.
