It's Not Too Late to #VoteIfYouCare

No matter where you live, it has never been more critical than now to get involved in the elections. The global issues you care about — like violence against women and global hunger — are ramping up in urgency, but our voices and our votes can make a difference. Hosting your own pre-election party is the perfect way to continue amplifying your work with CARE and educating yourself and your community on the importance of electing champions in Washington for global poverty issues.

Need some inspiration to get going on your own election party? Earlier this month, more than 30 people attended a CARE election party in Woodbridge, CT to learn about the importance of local advocacy to affect change and empower women and girls globally. The group was joined by a staffer from Senator Chris Murphy’s office and a Syrian family and refugee from Afghanistan who shared powerful testimonies and first-hand accounts on how CARE’s programs support refugees and resettlement efforts to vulnerable populations. Also, last week in Minnesota a handful of advocates gathered to talk about the elections and candidate outreach. Both were a great opportunity to share about the impact CARE is having globally and with our Members of Congress.
